We will ensure that this policy is brought to the attention of our management, staff and supply chain partners, and review it annually to ensure its continued relevance. 

To support our commitment, we:

• Comply with relevant legislation and regulations
• Determine our most material impacts and set targets for improvement 
• Enable a culture of sustainability awareness and continue to adopt sustainable solutions

We adopt a number of sustainable solutions in our business operations and fleet management, including:

• Utilising the jetty at our East London site for incoming aggregates 
• Implementing a conveyor belt system at our Kent depot to move/sort aggregates, rather than using plant or machinery, to reduce our carbon emissions
• Rail transportation of limestone aggregates to minimise our environmental impact 
• Use marine aggregates rather than quarried, meaning less importation by road
• Use an element of recycled aggregates in our concrete blocks, which reduces the environmental impact of the aggregate extraction process 
• We operate the latest and most fuel-efficient fleet of lorries and plant, ensuring our vehicles are Euro 6 compliant 
• We use 30% recycled materials in our plastic packaging and are engaged with suppliers who are in the carbon tax and plastic tax regimes 
• Creating and implementing a paperless office strategy to reduce our carbon footprint
